Roberta Jean “Bobbie” Merritt, 65, Jasper

Roberta Jean “Bobbie” Merritt, 65, Jasper, formerly of Evansville, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016, in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born in Evansville on July 31, 1950, to Thomas and Mary Katherine (Duncan) Voyles Sr. Her husband, Robert Merritt, passed away in 2007.

Surviving are two sons, David (Misty Huff) Hanes Jr. and Billy Somers; a daughter, Tina (Peter Allie) Somers; a sister Mary (Rick) Biggs; a brother, David (Brenda) Voyles; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson.

The funeral will be at noon CDT Saturday at Alexander West Chapel in Evansville. Private burial will be Monday in Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville.
