Robert U. Leinenbach, 72

Robert U. Leinenbach, age 72, of Jasper, passed away at 2:02 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

Robert was born on November 9, 1941 in Ferdinand, Indiana to Robert A. and Evelyn (Linette) Leinenbach. He married Betty J. Blessinger on September 21, 1985 in Jasper, Indiana.

Robert retired from Jasper Engines, where he worked for 35 years.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, and he volunteered at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Campus.

He enjoyed trains and going to auctions.

Robert is survived by his wife, Betty J. Leinenbach, of Jasper; one sister, Sandy Begle, of Ferdinand; he is also survived by children, step children, and grandchildren.

Preceding him in death is one sister, Janis Morgan

Funeral services for Robert U. Leinenbach will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana with entombment to follow at Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
