Robert Lee Eckert, 71, Branchville

Robert Lee Eckert, 71, of Branchville, passed away on September 28, 2026, at his home.

He was born on March 5, 1955, to Russell and Loretta Jean (Blount) Eckert.

Bob married Suzanne Blessinger on January 8, 2005.

Together they founded Lighthouse Worship Center in Jasper as well as Missionary Motorcycle Ministry; and a long time ABATE Region 10 member. Bob served as minister to their full gospel congregation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gold mining and riding his motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Suzanne; and sister, Joyce Smock Eckert.

Robert is survived by three sons, Bronson (Tammy) Eckert of Evansville, Lee (Andrea) Eckert of Omaha, Neb., and Dillon Eckert of Branchville; two daughters, Jordan Ameling of Peru, Ind. and Alyssa Fehribach of Jasper; one brother, Roger (Patti) Eckert of Bardstown, Ky.; and 10 grandchildren.

Friends may gather at Nass and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, October 3, 2026, beginning at 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. to process to Birdseye Cemetery for graveside rites beginning at 11:30 a.m. Don Arnett will officiate the service. Memorial contributions may be made to ABATE or to the family for funeral expenses.
