Robert L. Klingel, 68, Jasper

Robert L. Klingel, 68, of Jasper, passed away at 11:35 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at home surrounded by family.

Bob was born on May 7, 1952, to Andrew F. and Helen M. (Gercken) Klingel.  

He married Mary Matheis on March 1, 1980.

Bob was a member of the Jasper Outdoor Recreation and the BassMasters Club.

He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, kayaking, and cookouts. He also enjoyed shopping at antique stores and flea markets.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Klingel of Jasper; two sons, Kyle (Kelli) Klingel of Jasper and Steve (Jenny) Fuhs of Jasper; two daughters, Staci (Jarrod) Land of Jasper and Kim (BJoe) Aull of Jasper; seven grandchildren, Tyler Lashbrook, Travis, Olivia and Brandon Fuhs, Hannah, Maggie and Gavin Aull; one sister, Jan (Tom) Neukam; one brother, Tom (MaryAnn) Klingel; and beloved dog, Emma.  

Preceding him in death were his parents and one granddaughter, Kiersten Land.   

Due to the pandemic, private family services will be held at the Becher Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Humane Society or to the wishes of the family.
