Robert L. “Bob” Murry , 81, of Ireland, Indiana passed away at 6:15 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2014, at home.

Bob was born in Ireland, Indiana on May 3, 1933 to Russell and Jewell (McCain) Murry. He married Lillian Goeppner on June 24, 1954 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana.

He was a retired truck driver and farmer. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana and the Ireland Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed spending time with family, restoring antiques, and vacationing.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Murry of Ireland; two daughters, Connie Vollmer, and her husband, Stan, and Deb Leinenbach, and her husband, Brad, both of Ireland; three sons,
Steve Murry, and his wife Marcia, of Ireland, Jeff Murry of Ireland, and Mike Murry and his wife, Annette, of Jasper; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandsons.

Preceding him in death are three sisters, Hazel Gregory, Helen Murray, and Jeannie Wagner.

Funeral services for Robert L. “Bob” Murry will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. A rosary will be prayed at 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, the Lemmons’ Cemetery Fund, or the American Heart Association.
