Robert L. “Bob” Case, 92, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 4:49 a.m., on Monday, January 19, 2015, at The Timbers of Jasper nursing center in Jasper.

He was born April 12, 1922 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, to Elmer Guy and Sarah Belva (Ritter) Case. He married Emma Grace Swartsfager on August 29, 1950 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.

Bob worked for and retired from the Southern Railroad.  He was a member of Central Christian Church where he formerly served as church treasurer; was an avid fisherman; and enjoyed playing music.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Grace Case, who passed away November 4, 2011; one son, Patrick Case; two brothers, Harold Alvin Case and Raymond Guy Case; and three sisters, Mable O’Leary, Frances Prather and Dorothy DeLeon.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Karel (Rex) Abell of Huntingburg; one son and daughter-in-law, James (Shari) Case of Evansville; daughter-in-law, Lana Case of Evansville; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Bob Case will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, the day of the service.
