Robert Jeffrey Wade, 53, Seattle

Robert Jeffrey Wade, 53, of Seattle, Wash., passed away on September 4, 2022.

All who met Robert Jeffrey Wade would agree that he had a lifelong zest for adventure. He was the sort of person who never met a stranger and was always comfortable talking to someone on the street as he was to a judge representing a client in a courtroom.

Jeff was born to Glen Robert Wade, Jr. and Carolyn Sue Jarnagin Wade Schmidt on April 24, 1969, in Muncie, Indiana. He was later joined by brother Jason and sister Michelle. Jeff was raised in Muncie, Indiana and then moved to Santa Claus, Indiana, at the start of his junior year. He graduated from Heritage Hills High School, class of 1987.

After high school, he graduated from the Chicago Naval Academy at the age of 18. Jeff was an excellent swimmer and diver. His thrill for excitement earned him the nickname, Torch, as he performed fire dive shows at several theme parks and state fairs!

Jeff had a brilliant mind and was gifted creatively. He studied Respiratory Therapy at the Naval School of Health Sciences from June 1, 1992 to March 14, 1994. His undergraduate degree was in Human Resources / Business and Finance from Washington State University, Pullman 1999. He earned his Juris Doctor in Advocacy Law from Syracuse University College of Law.

He is survived by his father, Glen R. (Joyce) Wade, Jr.; momma, Sue (Chad) Schmidt; his brother, Jason Wade; his sister, Michelle (Rodney) Bayer; stepsister, Nicole Lantz; son, Jackson Carr; son, Mace Carr; and numerous extended family and friends.

Life will never be the same without Jeff here, but he leaves behind a timeless legacy that his loved ones will proudly remember.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. CDT until the time of service at 11 a.m. CDT on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Santa Claus United Methodist Church.
