Robert J. Jahn, 73

Robert J. Jahn, age 73 of Jasper, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Sunday (March 24, 2013), in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born at St. Anthony, Indiana, November 7, 1939, to Otto and Clara (Klem) Jahn. He married Margaret “Marge” Hohler June 8, 1961, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

Bob was Vice-President Manufacturing and Engineering at Ditto Sales, Inc. / Versteel in Jasper, where he was on the Board of Directors and part owner.

He served on the Board of Directors of the Dubois County Community Meal program. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve. a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper where he was a Eucharistic Minister and had served on St. Joseph Church Parish Council and several other church committees. The Little Company of Mary Associates, Jasper Knight of Columbus, Jasper Outdoor Recreation and the Dubois County Humane Society.

Preceding him in death, besides his parents, is one sister, Mary Henrietta Jahn.
