Robert H. Bohnert, 89

Robert H. Bohnert, age 89, passed away at 3:50 p.m. Saturday (December 22, 2012) in the Providence Home Health Care in Jasper.

He was born in Jasper, Indiana December 18, 1923 to Robert and Stella (Pfau) Bohnert. He married Marjorie Neuman November 29, 1945 in St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy in WWII in the South Pacific and retired from Ruxer Ford in Jasper where he had worked for over 38 years.

He is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years – Jasper Knights of Columbus – V.F.W. Post #673 and American Legion Post # 147.

He enjoying fishing, Woodworking and cards.

Norman Bohnert and spouse Ruth Jahn, Knightstown, IN

Robert W. Bohnert and spouse Monica Schroeder, Sparta, IL

Seven grandchildren and Eleven great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are; one sister, Wilma Armstrong and six brothers, Wilfred, Edgar, Herbert, Louis, Oscar and Harold Bohnert.

Funeral services for Robert Bohnert will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (December 27, 2012) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum. V.F.W. Post 673 will conduct military grave side rites.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday (December 26, 2012) at the Providence Home Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at St. Joseph Catholic church in Jasper.
