Robert “Bob” Leo Miller, 79

Robert “Bob” Leo Miller, 79, of Huntingburg, passed away at 7:43 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2014 at The Waters of Huntingburg nursing center in Huntingburg.

He was born November 4, 1934 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Leo and Alvina (Hochmeister) Miller.

He was united in marriage to Janice Lee Bockelman on October 15, 1960 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.

ator for D.M.I. Furniture Company. Bob was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; enjoyed square dancing and was a member of various square dancing clubs for over twenty years; was an avid sports fan and enjoyed rooting for the Southridge Raiders, Indiana University, and the Cleveland Indians; and was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; one sister, Melba Hartke; two half-sisters, Norena Werremeyer and Leona Weaver; and two half-brothers, Raymond “Jr.” Hesson and Russell Hesson.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janice Lee Miller of Huntingburg; three sons, Dr. Roger Miller of Winston Salem, N.C., Kelly Miller of Evansville, and Kerry Miller of Evansville; one sister, Doris Reutepohler of Huntingburg;  one grandchild and one step grandchild.

Funeral services for Bob Miller will be held at 10 a.m., EST on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg. The V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Monday. A parish rosary prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com.
