Robert A. Haase, 71, Celestine

Robert A. Haase, 71, of Celestine, passed away at 7:54 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born at Celestine, Indiana, on March 26, 1947, to Alois and Veronica (Sander) Haase. He married Judith Berg June 24, 1967, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

Bob retired from Kimball International and had previously worked at the former Jasper Cabinet Company in Jasper. He also served in the Indiana National Guard. He is a member of St. Isidore Parish-St. Celestine Campus. Celestine Community Club and former member of the Jasper Moose Club. Bob enjoyed his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, gardening and traveling especially restoring antique tractors.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Haase; one daughter, Connie (Mike) Archer of Celestine; two sons, Brian (Melonie) Haase of Celestine and Bradley (Stacy) Haase of Celestine; eight grandchildren, Gabrielle, Stefanie, Megan Archer – Braeden and Gavin Haase and Elijah Cox – Samantha and Ashley Haase; two great-grandchildren, Rylynn and Emery; three sisters, Shirley (Ronnie) Giesler of Ferdinand, Carol (Richard) Sermersheim of Celestine and Mary (Donald) McCain of Jasper; two brothers, Gerald (Shirley) Haase of Celestine and Steve (Karen) Haase of Celestine.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, St. Isidore Parish – St. Celestine Campus with burial to follow in St. Celestine Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
