Robert A. Dall, 92, Ferdinand

Robert A. Dall, 92, of Ferdinand, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Scenic Hills at the
Monastery in Ferdinand.

Robert was born on July 23, 1932, in Ferdinand to Anton and Johanna (Verkamp) Dall.

He married Marie Lueken on May 5, 1956, in Sacred Heart Church in Schnellville.

Robert was a retired machinist at Dubois Equipment. He was a lifelong member of St. Ferdinand Church.

Robert was a 30-year member of the Sierra Club, a recipient of the Simone Brute Award, and a member of the Ferdinand American Legion Post 124. He was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.

Robert enjoyed being with his family, traveling, and tending to his garden and fruit trees.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marie Dall; three sons, Steve (Vicki) Dall of Lapel, Ind., Gary (Linda) Dall of Jasper, and Keith (Marcia) Dall of Fishers; three daughters, Arlene Olinger of Ferdinand, Brenda (Stan) Stetter of Schnellville, and Sharon (Keith) Welp of St. Anthony; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Art Dall of Jasper and Norbert Dall of Ferdinand; two sisters, Catherine Wendholt of Jasper and Mildred Hoffman of Austin, Texas.

Robert was preceded in death by a grandchild, Abbie Stetter; one son-in-law, Mark Olinger, and six sisters, Rose Mary Kerstiens, Sr. Mary Roman Dall OSB, Clara Mae Hackman, Irma Lujan, and two in infancy, Alberta and Rita Ann Dall.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM in St. Ferdinand Church; Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ferdinand Legion Post 124 will conduct military graveside rites.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.

There will be no visitation on Monday.
