Roads removed, others added; Four roads impacted by high water
The Dubois County Highway Department reported that four county roads remain closed due to water levels from the Patoka River and Ell Creek — down from six closures in the previous update.
In District 1, two Madison Township roads remain closed. CR 150 South west of Old Huntingburg Road and Ell Creek Road north of CR 400 South are both affected by the Patoka River. CR 875 West has reopened since the last report.
District 1

District 2 has no active closures at this time.
In District 3, two roads remain closed. Old Huntingburg Road in Bainbridge Township north of CR 400 South is impacted by the Patoka River, and CR 400 South in Patoka Township west of Ell Creek Road remains closed due to Ell Creek. Since the previous report, CR 130 West, 1st Street in Huntingburg, and CR 400 South east of US 231 have all reopened, while Old Huntingburg Road and a separate section of CR 400 South west of Ell Creek Road have been newly added to the closure list.
District 3
- Bainbridge Twp — Old Huntingburg Road, North of CR 400 South (Patoka River)
- Patoka Twp — CR 400 South, West of Ell Creek Road (Ell Creek)
Motorists are advised to avoid flooded roads and never attempt to drive through standing water. Road conditions are being monitored and closures will be updated as water levels change.
