Rita J. Dorsam, 54

Rita J. Dorsam, 54, of Haysville, Indiana, passed away at 1:38 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2015, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Rita was born in Columbus, Indiana on May 2, 1961, to Clain and Clara (Andrews) Casey, and after their death she was raised by her adoptive parents, Homer and Betty Casey.

Rita worked for Stens Corporation. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Amber Coates and her husband Cleveland “Bear” of Conway, S.C. and Janie Cunningham and her husband, Matthew of Charlestown, Ind.; one son, Sebastian Dorsam of Jasper; one stepdaughter, Angela Dorsam of Loogootee; one stepson, Kurt Dorsam of Haysville; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; companion, Russell Dorsam of Haysville; adoptive parents, Homer and Betty Casey of Lexington, Ind.; one sister, Lisa Bricker and her husband Dwight of Pekin, Ind.; two brothers, Gregory Andrews and his wife Tammie of Clarksville and James Casey and his wife Melissa of Clarksville.

Preceding her in death are her parents Clain and Clara Casey.

Funeral services for Rita J. Dorsam will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
