Rita C. Fuchs, 71, Ferdinand

Rita C. Fuchs, 71, of Ferdinand, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Brookside Village in Jasper.

Rita was born on August 6, 1955, in Indianapolis to Raymond and Caroline (Schipp) Hoppenjans.

She married Clarence Fuchs on August 11, 1979, in St. Ferdinand Church. Clarence preceded her in death on January 9, 2019.

Rita enjoyed going to estate sales with her husband, Clarence. She enjoyed shopping trips and eating out with her friends and family. Rita loved animals, especially her dogs.

Rita is survived by a sister-in-law, Sheila and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence and a brother, David Hoppenjans.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. ET at The Chapel of Our Sorrowful Mother in Ferdinand. Visitation will be Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Chapel of Our Sorrowful Mother from 9:00 a.m. ET until the time of services at 10:00.
