Rita C. Douthitt, 72, Louisville

Rita C. Douthitt, 72, of Louisville, passed away on October 8, 2023.

Douthitt was born on August 4, 1951, to the late Rosine Mattingly Douthitt and Bert Taylor Douthitt.

Rita was a librarian who worked 47 years in public libraries, including the Louisville Free Public Library in Louisville, Paul Sawyer Public Library in Frankfort, and Jasper Dubois County Public Library in Jasper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosine and Bert Douthitt.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Harmon; her siblings, Elizabeth (Chuck) Byrne, Eddie (Edith) Douthitt, Sharman (Chuck) Goode and Lori (Robert) DeVore; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Douthitt’s body was cremated.
