Richard P. Miller, 72, French Lick

Richard P. Miller, 72, of French Lick, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at his home.

Richard was born on August 16, 1954, in La Marque, Texas, to Edwin Miller and Melva (Akers) Miller.

On May 27, 1997, he married the love of his life, Alyson P. Crook in Paoli, Indiana.

He worked for many years at Jasper Rubber.

Richard enjoyed the simple things in life and especially loved spending time outdoors. Fishing and hunting were among his favorite pastimes, and he also enjoyed listening to music and going on picnics. More than anything, Richard treasured time spent with his family and friends and the memories they made together.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gerald Miller; and one sister, Judy Miller.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Alyson Miller of French Lick; one sister, Nancy Miller of Texas; one brother, Steve (Linda) Miller of Texas; along with family and friends who will remember him fondly.

Services for Richard Miller will be held at a later date. Rainey Funeral Home in Dale has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
