Richard Lindauer, 79

Richard Lindauer, 79, of St. Meinrad, passed away, October 30, 2014 at Ownensboro Mercy Health Hospital.
Richard was born October 20, 1935 in Mariah Hill to Hugo and Lucille (Wiederkehr) Lindauer.
He married Yvonne Taylor on August 30, 1958 in St. John’s Catholic Church in Bristow. Richard was a farmer and also retired from Masterbrand in Ferdinand. Richard was a member of St. Meinrad American Legion Post 366 and St. Meinrad Senior Citizens. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, sports and helping his wife Yvonne quilt. Richard also helped Yvonne stuff teddy bears for Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
Richard is survived by his wife, Yvonne of St. Meinrad; two sons, Kelvin and wife Linda of St. Meinrad, Elmer and wife Carrie of Winslow; one daughter, Diane Weber and husband Fred of Dale; five grandchildren, Maria Weber, Christine Himsel, Jessica Mehling, Megan Lindauer, Amber Lindauer; one great-grandchild, Christian Himsel; one brother, Sylvester Lindauer and wife Myrna of St. Meinrad and one sister, Rosie Bender and husband Werner of Jasper.
Richard was preceded in death by a sister, Marian Harpenau.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. CDT and Monday from 7-9:30 a.m. CDT at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. CDT Monday at St. Isadore Catholic Church in Bristow. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with St. Meinrad American Legion Post 366 providing Military Graveside Rights.
