Richard Englert, 65

Richard Englert, 65, passed away at 11:55 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015, at his home under the care of Heart to Heart Hospice.
He was born at St. Anthony, Indiana on September 24, 1949 to Oscar and Lorena (Mehringer) Englert. He married Mary Lou Parker on July 13, 1968 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
He was a member of Jasper High School class of 1967. He retired from JOFCO after 42 years where he was a production supervisor. He is member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church. His hobbies were wine-making, mowing, cutting wood and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed working with his Ford tractor.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Englert; two sons, Duane Englert and wife Chris of Bretzville and Darin Englert and wife Amber of Saint Anthony; six grandchildren, Paige, Andi, Ben, Sam, Tatum and Adam; five sisters, Norma Braunecker and husband Charles, Linda Luebbehusen and husband Thomas, Mary Jane Boehman and husband Gene, Theresa Schwartz and husband Leroy, all of Ferdinand, Betty Ingle and husband Terry and Barb Messmer and husband Don, both of Saint Anthony; eight brothers, Kenny Englert and wife Martha of Ferdinand, Denny Englert and wife Donna, Norb Englert, Bill Englert and wife Darlene, Gary Englert and companion Joyce Stillwell, Jim Englert and wife Leah, all of St. Anthony, Fred Englert and companion Jeannie Breitweiser of Schnellville, and Brian Englert and wife Luanne of Lamar.
Preceding him in death besides his parents are one brother, Larry Englert and one sister, Clara Mae Englert both died in infancy.
Funeral services for Richard Englert will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, in St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial to follow in Saint Anthony Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy body Dementia Association or to the American Stroke Association.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
