Richard “Dick” A. Gehlhausen, 68

Richard “Dick” A. Gehlhausen, 68, of Dale, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

He was born July 31, 1945 in Evansville to Roy and Dorothy (Winiger) Gehlhausen.

Richard married Joyce Dewig on June 15, 1968 in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt.

Richard is survived by his wife, Joyce; 2 sons, Keith Gehlhausen and wife Dorothy of Evansville and Jeffrey Gehlhausen of Montrose, Colo.; one brother Donald Gehlhausen; three grandchildren, Suzanne, Meg and Jon Gehlhausen.

Richard was preceded in death by both parents.

Richard was retired from Leed Selling Tools Corp.

He was a former member of the Army Reserves and Nativity Church Mens Club. He was an active Assistant Scout Master with Troop 312 in Evansville. Richard enjoyed fishing and camping.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. EST and Friday from 8-9:30 a.m. at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand. Memorial contributions can be made to Sisters of St. Benedict of a favorite charity.
