Richard C. Wehr, 72, Jasper

Richard C. Wehr, 72, of Jasper, passed away at 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at his home.

Richard was born in Huntingburg on December 19, 1943, to William and Ethel (Faulkenburg) Wehr. He married Mary Ann Sander on January 11, 1964, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland.

He retired from UPS in 1993 after 25 years of service.

Richard was a 1961 graduate of Jasper High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

He was a recipient of the Kentucky Colonel Award and enjoyed golf, computers, and working in his yard.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Wehr of Jasper; two daughters, Christine Betz and husband Mike of Celestine and Staci Roberts and husband Mark of Ireland; three grandchildren, Lauren, Patrick, and Adrienne Betz; nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his brother, Joseph W. Wehr.

Funeral services for Richard C. Wehr will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
