Richard Alan Lau, 62

Richard Alan Lau, 62, of Sherrills Ford, N.C., died on Thursday, January 1, 2015.

Mr. Lau was born December 23, 1952, in Huntingburg to the late Isadore A. and Anna Mae Rohleder Lau.

He was a union representative for Brotherhood Maintenance Ways Employees for over 30 years. Lau was also a Mason, member of West Gate Lodge #738, and was a member of Lucia Baptist Church in Stanley, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Lau and Kenneth Lau.

He is survived by two sons, Kyle Lau and wife Tonya of Denver, N.C., and TSgt Christopher Cook and wife Larissa of Incirlik AB, Turkey; a brother, Vince Lau and wife Bev of Huntingburg; a sister, Diana Owen and husband Rocky of Indiana; four grandsons, Chandler Williams, Vance Cook, Quinn Cook, and Kasen Lau; and one granddaughter, Marlow Cook.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Davis officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
