Richard A. Trambaugh, 73

Richard A. Trambaugh, age 73, of Jasper, passed away at 2:08 a.m., Saturday (March 30, 2013) at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.

Richard was born on July 13, 1939 in Martin County to Edward and Ruth (Hunt) Trambaugh. He married Cheryl Schmitt on February 15, 1969 in Martin County.

He retired from the woodworking industry.

He was an avid IU Basketball, NASCAR, and Cincinnati Red’s Fan.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Trambaugh, Jasper; one son, Scott Trambaugh, Warrensburg, MO; two daughters, Karen Fairchild-Meyer and husband Dan Meyer, Las Vegas, NV, and Tina Himsel and husband Chris, Washington, IN; six grandchildren, Rae Ann and Darla Jo Trambaugh, Aimee Lanham, Kristen Fairchild, Jace and Noah Himsel; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ronnie Trambaugh and wife Donna, Mitchell, IN, and Larry Trambaugh and wife Janet, Washington, IN.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday (April 1, 2013) at the Jasper VFW Post #673 in Jasper, IN. There will be no visitation at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center, or Dubois County Humane Society.
