Richard A. Loomis, age 63 of Jasper passed away at 11:45 a.m. Thursday (May3, 2012) I.U. Medical Center, Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born July 1, 1948 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Arthur and Doris (Tass) Loomis. He married Joyce Thompson on April 6, 1984 in Roseburg, Oregon
Richard was a service technician for Sherwin Williams Paint Company where he had worked for over 31 years.
He is a member of Shiloh United Methodists Church in Jasper. Jasper Moose Lodge #1175 – Sons of The American Legion.
He enjoyed his grandchildren sports and traveling.

Preceding him in death are two brothers, Greg and Ronnie Loomis.
Funeral services for Richard Loomis will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (May 8, 2012) in Shiloh United Methodist Church. The Rev. Bob Dexter and Rev. Paul Alvey will officiate. Burial will follow at a later date in Shiloh Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
Memorial service will be held by the Jasper Moose Lodge at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Humane Society -The James Wuchner Cancer Fund or to Shiloh United Methodist Church.
