Registration open for Head for the Hills Patoka Lake Triathlon

Openings are still available to race in the “Head for the Hills” Patoka Lake Triathlon on Saturday, Aug. 20.

All proceeds from the event are used to care for Patoka Lake’s non-releasable raptors, which are used for educational programming. Patoka has a red-tailed hawk, an Eastern screech owl and a bald eagle.

The race starts at 8:30 a.m. at the beach. Participants will swim 500 yards in open water, bike 12.8 miles on hilly paved roads inside the property and run 3.1 miles on groomed gravel roads and a paved bike trail.
