Registered sex offender arrested for child molestation in Jasper

Jasper – Jasper police arrested a registered sex offender for two counts of child molestation on Wednesday.
The investigation began after police received information about the incident that occurred on or around New Year’s Eve. According to the report, John M. Davis, 46, of 675 Giesler Road, molested a 7-year-old relative.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Davis was charged with two counts of child molesting; one a Class A felony and one a Class C felony.
Davis was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:54 p.m. on a $6000 combined cash bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Dubois County Circuit Court on Thursday.
Noble County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana Child Protective Services, Indiana State Police, Indiana Parole Agents and the Dubois County Sheriff’s Prosecuting Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation.
