Red Carpet movie premiere set for Jasper on Sunday, Nov. 2

A red-carpet movie premiere is coming to Jasper, Indiana, this Sunday, November 2, as Murder by Association debuts at Showplace Cinemas Jasper 8.
The red-carpet event will take place from 6 to 6:50 p.m. (EST), followed by the first public screening at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are available for $10 (plus fees) and include admission to the red-carpet celebration. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door if the event does not sell out.
The film was directed by Whit Whitman, an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and educator based in Danville, Kentucky and stars John Wells, Darren Lee Cupp and Jasper High School sophomore Addison Grace Randolph.

Murder by Association is an action-driven murder mystery filmed primarily on a farm near Danville, Kentucky.
When billionaire Harlan McLean is found dead on his wedding night under mysterious circumstances, Detective Hall is thrust into a tangled web of motives, secrets, and self-reckoning. As he chases the evidence, he must also face the consequences of his own past misdeeds — and ask: How far can justice stretch before it breaks?
With a claustrophobic tone, the film explores character friction, moral corrosion, and the idea that sometimes the greatest threat doesn’t come from outside — but from what lies within us.
Murder by Association was acquired for distribution by Breaking Glass Pictures, a leading independent distributor recognized for supporting distinctive and bold creative voices in cinema.
Though release plans are still being finalized, Murder by Association is set to premiere this November on streaming services worldwide.
