Rebecca J. Schroeder, 64, Jasper, passed away at 11:34 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.

Rebecca was born in Jasper, Indiana on July 28, 1951 to Joseph and Esther (Fischer) Schroeder.

She was a graduate of the Jasper High School Class of 1969 and worked as a beautician and a child daycare provider. Rebecca was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish in Evansville, IN. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, spending time with children, and volunteering at the soup kitchen in Evansville.

She is survived by her sisters, Kate Labhart and husband Neil of Jasper, Rose Ann Sanders and husband Harold of Reelsville, Carolyn Auffart of Ferdinand, Linda Lambert and husband Dave of Evansville and Christine Prior of Huntingburg; brothers, Leroy Schroeder and wife Bernetta of Jasper, James Schroeder and wife Donna of Jasper and Charles Schroeder and wife Ruth of Greencastle; sister-in-law, Sue Schroeder of Ireland; brother-in-law, Bruce Rosbottom of Santa Claus; nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Norma Jean Mehringer and Cynthia Rosbottom; and one brother, Ronald Schroeder.

Funeral services for Rebecca Schroeder will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, IN

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
