Raymond Gramelspacher, 85, of Jasper, passed away at 11:40 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Oakland City.

Raymond was born at Tell City, Indiana, on October 22, 1932, to Raymond and Rosa (Brown) Gramelspacher.

Ray retired from Northeast Dubois High School where he taught economics and history for many years. He received his degree in education from Indiana University.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1952 to 1954. His membership include Indiana Teachers Association, V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper and the American Legion Post # 147.

Ray loved playing golf, watching IU basketball as well as all high school sports.

He is survived by his caregiver, Kerri Brinkman of Otwell; four daughters, Emily Elliott (Max) of Winslow, Jane Ruth (Lance) of Larkspur, Pam Vogel (Doug) of Franktown, Colo. and Angie Netterville (Mike) of Fort Wayne; several grandchildren; sister,
Wilma Fischer (Tony) of Tell City.

Preceded in death are one sister, Delores Little and one brother, Freddie Gramelspacher.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. V.F.W. Post # 673 will conduct Military Rites at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral Home. Burial will follow at a later date.
