Raymond “Frog” M. Hopf, 54, Ferdinand

Raymond “Frog” M. Hopf, 54, of Ferdinand, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at home.
Raymond was born in Huntingburg on February 13, 1963, to Rufus and Hildegard (Jacob) Hopf.
He was a 1981 graduate of Jasper High School. Raymond previously worked for Pat Brescher Trucking, and currently worked for Werner Sawmill. He was a member of the Duff Conservation Club. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds, Indianapolis Colts, and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed truck and tractor pulls and camping.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph Hopf (Kathy) of Nashville, Tenn. and Anthony Hopf (Abigail) of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Doris Harris of Ireland and Carolyn Conen (Wesley) of Huntingburg; four brothers, Gene Hopf (Barb) of Ireland, Alfred Hopf of Princeton, Michael (Julie) Hopf of Huntingburg and Jerry Hopf (Debbie) of Huntingburg; sister-in-law, Kristina Hopf of Huntingburg; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death besides his parents are two brothers Greg and Stanley “Stretch” Hopf.
Funeral services for Raymond “Frog” M. Hopf will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
