Randy W. Hart, 65, Fairfield

Randy W. Hart, 65, of Fairfield, Ill., passed away at 9:09 AM on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, Ill.

He worked at Airtex Products in Fairfield for 38 years, where he served in many departments. He was born in McLeansboro, Ill., on December 26, 1957, to Kenneth & FloAnn (Redmon) Hart.

He married Amy Manahan on September 1, 1984.

Over the years, Randy enjoyed many hobbies, including St. Louis Cardinal baseball, gardening, showing his 1967 Mercury S55 at local car shows, listening to music-especially Neil Young, spending time with family and most importantly being a grandpa.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Amy Hart of Fairfield, Ill.; daughter, Andrea (Aaron) Peters of Holland; son, Andrew Hart and Lauren Janssen of Fairfield, Ill.; the pride and joy of this life were his grandchildren, Bryce and Emma Peters of Holland; mother, FloAnn Hart of McLeansboro, Ill.; brothers Rick (Lisa) Hart, Rodney Hart, Robert (Kris) Hart and sister, Robin (Gregg) Huggins, all of McLeansboro, IL; mother-in-law, Marjorie Jelley of Fairfield, Ill.; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Randy is proceeded in death by his father, Kenneth Hart; father-in-law, Eldon Manahan, nephews Zachary and Micheal Hart.

Funeral services for Randy will be held at 1 p.m, Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Following the service, he will be cremated, and a private family burial will be held at a later date.

Memorials in his honor may be made to Hope Ministries in Geff, IL and will be accepted at the funeral home.
