Randy Lane Hawkins, 58, Huntingburg

Randy Lane Hawkins, 58, Huntingburg, passed away Thursday evening, May 12, 2016, at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born December 17, 1957, in Huntingburg to David and Christina (Sullivan) Hawkins. He married Barbara Ellen Petry on January 8, 1977, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.

Randy was employed as a maintenance technician at Indiana Furniture in Jasper. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Indiana Army National Guard.

Randy is survived by his wife, Barbara Ellen “Bobbie” Hawkins of Huntingburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Misty (Donald) Moeller of Huntingburg; one son, Nathan Hawkins of Dubois; his parents, David and Christina Hawkins of Huntingburg; two sisters, Paula Braunecker of St. Henry and Kathy Braunecker of Santa Claus; one brother and sister-in-law, David Wayne (Mary) Hawkins of Huntingburg; two grandchildren, Garrett and Randi Moeller both at home; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Randy Lane Hawkins will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday. A parish vigil prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
