Randal Lee “Randy” Durcholz, 68, Huntingburg/Duff

Randal Lee “Randy” Durcholz, 68, of Huntingburg and Duff, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2021, in Georgia.

Randy was born on September 13, 1952, in Jasper to Charles and Rita (Rasche) Durcholz.

He married Susan Ann Hochgesang on November 22, 1975, in Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.

Randy was a graduate of the Ireland High School class of 1970, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the American Legion Post #147 and the American Veterans.

He was a lifelong farmer and was a grain bin salesman.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland, a member of the Jasper Moose Lodge #1175, the Huntingburg Fraternal Order of Eagles #708, and the GoldWing Riders Club.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending winters in Florida, making homemade sausages, fishing, and cooking.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Ann “Susie” Durcholz; two sons, Steven Durcholz of Duff and Mark Durcholz of Huntingburg; three sisters, Janice Corn of Petersburg, Carol Schetter (Eugene) of Jasper, and Sarah Helms (Mark) of Jasper; one sister-in-law, Carla Durcholz of Duff. 

Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, Kenneth J. Durcholz, and one daughter-in-law, Jill Durcholz.  

A Mass of Christian Burial for Randal Lee “Randy” Durcholz will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021, in St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The American Legion Post 147 will conduct military graveside rites.  

A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass time at St. Mary Catholic Church on Friday.
