Ralph D. Hemmer, 88

Ralph D. Hemmer, age 88, of Ft. Myers, Florida, formerly of Huntingburg, passed away December 31, 2012 in Ft. Myers, Florida.

He was born March 22, 1924 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Henry William Abraham and Mary Jeannette Hemmer. He spent most of his 88 years in Huntingburg. He is survived by: his wife, Lucille (Batt) Hemmer of Ft. Myers, FL; one son, Steve Hemmer of Huntingburg, IN; two daughters, Joyce Hemmer of Oakland, CA and Maggie (Terry) Duckett of Westfield, IN; one brother, Robert Hemmer of Bainbridge, OH; his grandchildren, Zia Tyebjee, Saleh Tyebjee and Carrie Hemmer; and one great granddaughter, Nastasha Hemmer.

A memorial service for Ralph Hemmer will be held at 1:30 p.m., E.D.T., on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Huntingburg United Methodist Church in Huntingburg. Friends may call at the church from 1:00-1:30 p.m., Saturday afternoon, prior to the service. Following the memorial service his cremains will be interred at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.
