Ralph C. Brosmer, 91, of Dubois, Indiana passed away at 4:50 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014, at Professional Care Rehabilitation Center in Dale, Indiana.

Ralph was born in Dubois, Indiana on April 21, 1923, to Frank and Louise (Fehribach) Brosmer. He married Mary Crowe on June 13, 1953. She preceded him in death on October 2, 1981.

Ralph was a lifelong farmer and had previously been a part-time deputy sheriff. He was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and a lifetime member of the Dubois Community Club. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and push mowing yards.

He is survived by two daughters, Bea Hopper, and her husband, Bill, and Millie Zehr, both of Dubois; two sons, Terry Brosmer of Dubois and Charles Brosmer, and his wife, Lorrie, of French Lick; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death besides his wife are three sisters, Emma Schnell, Pauline Eckert, and Mary Lou Humbert, seven brothers, Oscar, Paul, Edward, Edwin, Gilbert, Gus, and Adam Brosmer, one grandson, Dallas Brosmer, and one son- in-law, Mike Zehr.

Funeral services for Ralph C. Brosmer will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center, or to a favorite charity.
