Ralph B. Fleck, 81, St. Anthony

Ralph B. Fleck, 81, St. Anthony, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016, at his home.
He was born at Mariah Hill, Indiana on March 22, 1935 to Andrew and Martha (Giesler) Fleck. He married Nora E. Huff on August 30 1958 in Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.
Ralph retired from Englert’s Home Comfort Center in Jasper where he worked for 20 years and had previously worked for Armstrong Implement Store at the Y in Jasper for many years. He also served in the Indiana National Guard for eight years and he was the caretaker for the Cox Cemetery.
He is a member of Divine Mercy Parish in St. Anthony, a 50-year member of the Jasper Knights of Columbus, a member of Schellville Conservation Club and a member of the St. Anthony Community Center.
After his retirement he worked as a handyman.He enjoyed his farm, playing sheepshead and meeting his friends at Deb’s Restaurant.
He is survived by his wife Nora; three daughters, Connie Schnell and husband Melvin of Celestine, Wanda Recker and husband Keith of St. Anthony and Elaine Fleck and companion Kurt Rauscher of Huntingburg; two sons, Rick Fleck and wife Carla of Kyana and Brian Fleck and wife Jenny of St. Anthony; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Goeppner of Ireland, Pat Hasenour and husband Gerald of Celestine and Aline Laake and husband Dave of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers,
James Fleck and wife Viola of Huntingburg and Jerome Fleck of St. Anthony.
Preceding him in death is a granddaughter, Sarah Fleck.
Funeral services for Ralph B. Fleck will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016, in Divine Mercy Catholic Church, St. Anthony Campus with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. St. Anthony American Legion Post 493 will conduct Military Grave Side Rites.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel and one hour before services at church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Anthony Cemetery Fund or to the Cox Cemetery Fund. Rosary will be held at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by the members of Divine Mercy Parish.
