Rain closes Dubois County Museum

Due to flooding in the area, the Dubois County Museum will close for a few days with hopes to reopen on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

The rain that fell Wednesday caused a backup of water at 30th and Newton Streets that entered the museum and wet the floors in the log house and Wildlife areas. The rain fell so hard and quickly that the sump pumps could not keep up with the deluge, and the overflow impacted some of the carpeted areas.
