Public can listen to SkyWarn online for severe weather information
Attention public safety personnel and Dubois County residents: When severe weather threatens our area, many have been staying ahead of the storm by using their scanners to listen to the Dubois County Skywarn communications on our 147.195 MHz repeater located in Jasper, Indiana.
The repeater was recently upgraded and now supports both traditional FM and new C4FM/Digital (noise-free) communications. Some of our Skywarn communications on this repeater are now being conducted in the new C4FM/Digital (noise-free) format, which is not compatible with existing scanners.
In order to ensure you are able to continue monitoring all our Skywarn communications and to support easy access to our communications, a Dubois County Skywarn Streaming Audio Feed is now available on the following FREE internet service: https://www.broadcastify.com/. The feed name is: Dubois County SKYWARN, or at this link https://www.broadcastify.com/webPlayer/44847.
Operated by trained weather spotters under the Dubois County EMA/RACES group, this network provides real-time severe weather reports and critical updates. These reports help keep our community informed and ensure timely severe weather reports reach the National Weather Service.
