Public can honor veterans by adding their dogtags to new entrance to Veteran’s Garden

An Eagle Scout project enhancing the entrance to the Veteran’s Garden near the Schaeffer Barn on Fourth Street in Jasper is nearing completion.

According to Eli Rasche, the only remaining item is the addition of personalized dog tags, which will be on display at the entrance.

The personalized dog tags are available to purchase in honor of or in memory of any veteran. Each engraved dog tag will hang from the arbor, creating a lasting tribute to those who have served. Dog tags will be ordered and placed on the arbor upon arrival.

The dog tag fundraiser is open through January 31, 2026, and any remaining proceeds will be donated to the Daughters of the American Revolution.
