Providence Home Health Care Center to be sold to management group; new name announced

Ide Management Group, a company that manages skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa, is set to purchase Providence Home Health Care Center on November 1, 2014.

Mark Ide, founder and president of the Indianapolis-based company, is excited about taking over ownership of the Jasper facility.

Mr. Ide spent 15 years working for non-profit organizations, which resulted in an unparalleled passion to raise the bar for care and rehab services for seniors. These desires lead to the founding of Ide Management Group in 1997. Ide Management, a healthcare management group, is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“We’re not your typical management company. We don’t just acquire facilities. We get to know our residents by their first names. We build a relationship with them, not as owners, but as partners to ensure they receive the care they need and their lives are enriched by being in our facility,” said Ide.

According to a press release from the company, Ide’s core philosophy is “residents’ first, employees always”, and profits will follow. This is the
reason Ide Management Group continues to be successful.

Among the many positive changes ahead for Providence Home Health Care Center is a new name.

On November 1, it will become Cathedral Health Care Center. The name was selected to ensure that the religious affiliation tied previously to the Providence Home remains in existence. This home has been and will continue to be a place of worship for several hundred Jasper county Catholics.

Ide Management will rely on the support of the Catholic Community to successfully transition the new Cathedral Health Care Center into the Jasper community.

“The welcome we have already received from the Jasper Chamber of Commerce and all the members of the board at Providence Home Health Care Center makes us eager to align Ide Management Group with the Jasper community. We aren’t just coming here to do business, we are moving here to be part of the community,” Ide said.

For the next several months, Ide Management will be busy introducing facility best practices and programs to the residents and staff of Cathedral Health Care Center. The Ide Management team will be at Cathedral Health Care Center throughout the next several months to meet with staff, as well as residents and their families.
