Prioress Sister Anita Louise Lowe appoints leadership team

On Friday, June 13, following days of prayer and discernment, the Sisters of St. Benedict elected Sister Anita Louise Lowe to serve a second term as prioress. She has now named the leadership team that will assist her throughout her second term, which will be for a period of four years.

Cash

Sister Kathleen Marie Cash will serve as Subprioress, supporting the Prioress in all her duties, filling in for her
during absences and serving as part of the Formations team and the Admissions Board, as well as serving on the Monastic Council and the Executive Advisory Council. Originally from Eddyville, Kentucky, Sister Kathleen Marie entered Monastery Immaculate Conception on August 15, 2004, and made her Perpetual Profession on October 1, 2011.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Brescia University in, Owensboro, Kentucky, a Master of Education degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of Louisville and a Doctorate from UofL in Curriculum and Instruction. She has worked as a Mathematics Teacher, a Research Assistant, Dean of Faculty Development, College Instructor and Researcher. In addition to her duties as Subprioress, she also serves as Treasurer/Business Office; in Music Ministry; as Coordinator of Mission Appeals; and as Liaison with the Sisters’ monastery in Peru.

Wolff

Sister Paula Wolff will serve as Monastery Coordinator, overseeing and organizing the day-to-day activities of the
monastery and the community, including schedules, assignments and so on, as well as serving on the Monastic Council and the Executive Advisory Council. A native of Chanhassen, Minnesota, she entered Monastery Immaculate Conception on August 20, 1995, and made her Perpetual Profession on June 1, 2002.

Sister Paula holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and has served as an Elementary school teacher, Executive Assistant in the Office of Lifelong Formation and Education for the Archdiocese of Louisville, in Social Services/Payroll for Hildegard Health Center, as Secretary to the Archbishop of Louisville, as Administration Secretary at the Monastery and in Monastery Service.
