Portion of Washington Street closed for sewer lateral replacement
Due to sewer lateral replacement work on Washington Street, the road will be closed between 3rd and 4th streets today, April 28 until 5:00 p.m. Please find an alternate route during construction.
As a trend you’ve been reporting these as of “today” – “…closed today” – which doesn’t really inform folks well for practical purposes and planning. Best to report them at least the day before – I know the city knows by each day’s end, say by 5:00PM and likely before that time, which street(s) will be closed the next day. If they’re not reporting them until the day of, shame on them – make a practice of proactively going to them the day before, so you can get these out to be of actual help to folks.
