Police seeking man for allegedly battering a Jasper woman

Jasper police are asking the public for assistance in locating Walter Salgado Lopez, 27, of 112 E. 35th Street, Jasper.

Lopez is being sought on three counts of battery and one count of interfering with a crime for allegedly battering a woman in Jasper on Sunday, May 8. Police were called to the incident but when they arrived, Lopez had fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment. She was released.

An arrest warrant has been issued by the Dubois County Superior Court.
