Police investigating Pike teen shooting death

Glezen — Police are investigating the death of a Pike County teen that occurred Monday around noon.

According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, Pike County 911 received a  call about a shooting at a residence in Glezen at about 12:15 p.m. According to the caller, the victim, 18-year-old Damon Robinson, was shot in the face while cleaning a gun.

Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.

The incident is under investigation by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police.

Pike County Emergency Medical Services, the Patoka Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Petersburg Police Department assisted at the scene.
