Police investigate Ferdinand thefts from cars, home

The Ferdinand Police Department is asking for the public’s help to solve thefts that occurred in the MasterBrand Cabinets parking lot on Scenic Industrial Drive.

Police reported that sometime between 11 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Friday someone entered four different vehicles and stole items a variety of items including computer tablets, wallets, purses and tools.

Police believe the same individual or individuals are responsible for stealing two toolboxes from the front porch of a residence along West Ninth Street and west of Missouri Street that occurred during the same time frame.

Anyone with information on the break-ins and thefts is asked to contact police by calling dispatchers at 812-482-9111. A Ferdinand officer will return calls as quickly as possible.

Ferdinand police also recommended residents to secure and lock all personal vehicles and home to prevent becoming a victim.

“Please be safe, not sorry,” police said in the press release.
