Police: Domestic dispute ends in death
A Jasper man was charged with leaving the scene of a crash that resulted in a fatality after he allegedly struck a woman while driving away from a domestic dispute Wednesday evening.

Joshua W. Rominger, 32, of Jasper, was charged with a Level 3 Felony count of leaving the scene of an accident causing death while intoxicated after police found him in Paoli.
According to law enforcement, officers were called to the 1323 Newton Street residence at 6:03 p.m. in reference to a vehicle striking a person.
Police said that Rominger and a female resident at the home were in a domestic dispute. When Rominger left the residence in a 2006 Dodge Ram, he ran over the female with the right passenger side tire. He then fled the scene.
The female — police have not released her identity — was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital at 6:50 p.m.
Rominger was arrested in Paoli at about 8:21 p.m. and was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center where he is incarcerated without bond.
Police stated Rominger was under the influence of marijuana.
Dubois County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police and Ruxer Towing Service assisted.
