Jasper hosted the Indiana Volunteer Firefighter Association Miss Flame contest and parade for District 18 on Sunday.
The streets were lined with expectant kids and adults as more than 40 entries, including the Jasper Marching Band, took the short trip from the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center and back.
After the parade, the 2025 Miss Flame, Ava Verkamp, crowned Jazmyne Little, who represented the Carter Township Fire Department, as the 2026 Miss Flame for District 18.
Schnellville Volunteer Fire Department representative, Callie Hopf, was named runner-up, and Cali Rasche, representing the Jasper Fire Department, was voted Miss Congeniality by the nine contestants.

The parade started at Fourth and Mill and was led by the Jasper Police Department.
