Phyllis M. Boeglin, 80

Phyllis M. Boeglin, 80, of Ferdinand and formerly of Jasper passed away at 3:00 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

She was born August 31, 1934 in Jasper, Indiana, to Oscar and Elizabeth Bohnert. She married William A. Boeglin on January 11, 1958 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.

Mrs. Boeglin was a nursing center worker and a childcare provider. She loved being around and caring for children. She alos enjoyed cooking, especially for her family.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Boeglin, who passed away June 22, 2005.

She is survived by one son, William A. Boeglin, Jr. of Ferdinand; one daughter, Cheryl S. Boeglin of Newburgh; two sisters, Jane Chastain and Margaret Blessinger, both of Jasper; three grandchildren, Samantha A. Boeglin, Gabriel Boeglin and Livia Boeglin; one great grandchild, Madelyn Boeglin.

Funeral services for Phyllis M. Boeglin will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Reverend Fr. Ryan Hilderbrand will officiate at the Funeral Mass.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Monday, the day of the service.  Memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
