Phyllis “Jane” Fancher Hunter, 89, English

Phyllis “Jane” Fancher Hunter, 89, of English, passed away on August 20, 2017, at Westminster Village in Clarksville, Ind.

Jane was born to Fred Atkins and Nellie Fay (Sturm) Atkins on September 22, 1927, in Champagne, Ill.

Jane loved quilting, gardening and playing Scrabble.

Preceding Jane in death are her parents, husband, Eugene Hunter; daughter, Linda Gail Apple; and a sister, Norma Fay Stockdale.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Fetz of New Albany, Russell Dean Fancher of English and Jo Annette Fancher of Huntingburg; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Ruth Wacther of Covington, Ky.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at Denbo Funeral Home in English from 4:00 until 8:00 pm.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at the funeral home at 11:00 am.

Bro. Jason Denton will be officiating the service with burial to follow at Wickliffe Cemetery at Wickliffe, Ind.
