Phyllis “Jane” Becher, 81

Phyllis “Jane” Becher, age 81 of Jasper, passed away at 4:00 p.m., Thursday (February 21, 2013) at home.
She was born in Evansville, IN on May 24, 1931 to Albert and Dorothy (Wagner) Schaaf. She married Gervase “Jerp” Becher on October 30, 1952 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, IN.
Jane was a Real Estate Realtor/Broker and co-owner of Key Realty. She later worked for Lukemeyer Realty.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the St. Ann’s Society, and Tri Kappa Women’s Organization.
She was a graduate of the Jasper High School class of 1949, and Stephen’s College in Columbia Missouri.
She enjoyed golf and tennis, winning the Jasper County Club golf tournament several times. She was also an avid bridge player.

Preceding her in death are two sisters, Patricia Klueh and Sylvia “Tudie” Schaaf.
Funeral services for Jane Becher will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday (February 25, 2013) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow at a later date.
Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., on Sunday (February 24, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The St. Ann’s Society will pray a rosary at 1:45 p.m.
